About Emilie
A Student Leader
Emilie Tedeschi is a junior at Century High School, the 47th Student Representative on the Carroll County Board of Education, and a devoted and motivated individual.
​
Born and raised in Carroll County, I have experienced and observed the issues troubling the students within all ages of students. I have observed the continuities and shifts within the county and school system. Finally, I understand the dynamics of political ideology, opinions, and views within the county, which I use to take action based on student needs and desires.
​
Leadership is not a position, role, or tile, but a series of action and an invitation for voice. I have taken leadership actions since the beginning of sixth grade, where my student government journey began. But, there have been years of new experiences, lessons, and initiatives since then. My record of action demonstrates the action of leadership, using the opportunities within and beyond held positions.

It is the creativity of compromises and methods, desire for change, value for learning, versatility of talents and abilities, and the genuine pursual of education and community within Carroll County Public Schools students that continues to inspires me.
Student Representative- Elect Carroll County Board of Education
Elected in February of 2021 by the Carroll County Student Government Association, where student government students could vote from each Carroll County public middle and high school after a Q & A session and a 5-minute speech
Serves in a shadowing role to the 2021-2022 Student Representative, Devanshi Mistry
Attends monthly Board of Education Meetings and gains feedback and input from students on matters addressed through discussion

Delegate since Spring of 2020
Serving as Division 2 Liaison to encourage student voice and involvement on the state level in Frederick, Carroll, and Howard Counties through presentations on Maryland Association of Student Councils, facilitating connections, and encouraging membership
Made connections with students of various titles including, presidents, Student Members on the Board of Education, etc. on state, regional(county), and school levels
